Kalisa, the AI knowledge and experience platform for regulated industries, and NuCAS, the specialist provider of legal services enhanced by advanced technology, today announce a strategic collaboration.
The partnership brings together Kalisa’s secure, enterprise-grade AI platform with NuCAS’s deep expertise in legal operations, implementation, and managed services to help legal teams adopt AI in a practical, high-impact way.
Under the collaboration, NuCAS will leverage Kalisa’s platform alongside its broader ecosystem of leading legal technologies to drive greater automation across its managed legal services. This will focus initially on integrating the platform into work for its in-house clients who may not currently have an AI solution to drive greater efficiencies.
Additionally, Kalisa clients will be able to partner with NuCAS to define high-value use cases, structure their legal knowledge, and ensure solutions deliver meaningful outcomes.
Together, the organisations will support both in-house legal teams and law firms to improve productivity, address operational pain points, and unlock greater value from their legal function.
Enabling Practical, Responsible AI in Legal
As demand for safe and effective AI adoption grows, legal teams are looking for more than just technology. They require a clear strategy, secure tools, and the right implementation support to realise value.
The NuCAS–Kalisa collaboration addresses this need end-to-end, from defining an AI roadmap and identifying use cases, through to implementation, change management, and ongoing operations.
NuCAS supports organisations in becoming “AI-ready”, transforming legal knowledge, templates, and processes into structured, scalable workflows that can be embedded into AI systems.
Kalisa notes that its platform enables organisations to turn expertise into secure, AI-powered solutions, including intelligent assistants, automated workflows, and client-facing services. Built for regulated industries, it combines strong governance with a no AI model training, zero data retention, GDPR-compliant approach, ensuring full alignment with data privacy and regulatory requirements.
The joint offering supports a wide range of legal use cases, including contract review, document drafting, summarisation, and knowledge management.
Adam Roney, Founder and CEO of Kalisa, said:
“We are entering a time where the legal profession has an exciting opportunity to reimagine how knowledge and expertise are captured, shared, and applied. AI will not replace the judgement that great lawyers bring, but it will fundamentally change what is possible for legal teams who embrace it thoughtfully and responsibly.
The Kalisa partnership with NuCAS is about making that future accessible now, by combining the right technology, the right knowledge, and the right implementation support so legal teams can lead this transformation and reap the rewards through increased efficiency and value creation.”
Lucy Nixon, Chief Executive of NuCAS, said:
"At NuCAS, we are deliberately technology-agnostic, and we partner with the platforms that best deliver value for our clients. I have worked in legal technology and AI for many years and have tested a wide range of solutions. What stood out immediately with Kalisa was that the platform has clearly been built by people who truly understand how legal work is done in practice. I was also particularly impressed by the team’s perspective on the legal ecosystem and their commitment to ensuring AI is used in a way that is ethical, secure, and genuinely valuable to lawyers.
We are incredibly excited to collaborate with Kalisa. Together, we can help our clients deliver legal work faster, more efficiently, and to an even higher standard, freeing lawyers to focus on the strategic, high-value work that really matters. That has always been at the core of what we do at NuCAS.”
